Opening the Door to Education

The Racine Literacy Council (RLC) is a volunteer-based organization that provides adult literacy programs in Racine County and works to bring awareness to the community about the importance and impact of literacy.

RLC will be closed from Dec 14, 2018 and will reopen on Jan 2, 2019 at 8:30 AM

Adult Literacy Programs

The Racine Literacy Council's Basic Literacy program addresses the needs of persons with low literacy skills in reading, writing, and math. The curriculum is designed for adults and includes a variety of books and levels from beginning reading and writing through GED preparation.

Volunteer Tutors Needed

The Racine Literacy Council is looking for volunteers for the Adult Tutoring Program and a variety of other events and fundraisers.
